Muskaan Fellowship Learning Retreat 3 (All Location)
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in association with PRAVAH (Delhi based NGO) conducted the third learning retreat program for Muskaan Fellowship Batch 2021. Under this project, youth from college are selected and extensive training is given for their holistic personality development and growth in a learning retreat spread over three days. In the last two learning retreats, we covered communication skills, learning ability and style, ESCA model and career mentoring. This was the last learning retreat which was followed by alumni meet and certificate distribution to all the fellows.
27 fellows from all locations attended the learning retreat in a hybrid model (Online+Offline). They successfully carried out the assigned tasks and activities as facilitated by the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) team. Learnings on essential values like courage, care, safety and equality were imparted to the fellows with the help of interactive activities. Muskaan fellows also learnt important life skills like influencing and inspiring others and conflict management. They brought innovative ideas and creativity on the table with regard to leadership skills and communication skills.
The Muskaan fellows were felicitated through a certificate and a sapling. They are determined to share their knowledge in the community and have been equipped to do the same. For this, they have been given a mobile tablet, essential stationary and a T-shirt to carry out their duties successfully.
Mission Milaap (Alumni Engagement)- The Muskaan Fellowship initiative is slowly turning into a community with an increasing alumni base every year. ‘One learns better with peer learning’- to put this to test, JBF team invited several alumni members to spend the entire day with the current fellows with interesting activities. The current fellows as well as the alumni had a wonderful time and also got a good exposure towards broadening their context. There was motivation and inspiration in the air as they learnt from one another and got to know about different career options.
GAJRAULA
Muskaan Fellowship Learning Retreat 3 (All Location)
- Teachers Training Program on Khushiyon Ki Pathshala Project.
Khushiyon ki Pathshala is value-based education project. This project mainly aims at developing 21st-century skills among the students through different value sessions. Under this project we focus on 12 values namely- Love, Gratitude, Humility, Respect, Kindness, Trust, Integrity, Commitment, Courage, Hope, Care, Safety and Equality.
The two days training program on values and overall skill development of teachers was held in Gajraula. 25 teachers participated in this training program where we discussed different learning styles, the importance of listening ability and five different values. Education coordinators from all the locations were also part of this training program.
2. One-day training on vitamin A & deworming tablets by ‘Vitamin Angels’
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in collaboration with ‘Vitamin Angles’ will be distributing Vitamin A and deworming tablets to children via the district administration. A one-day training program was conducted for Swasthya Praharis and coordinators on the importance of vitamin A and deworming tablets. This training session was held by Mr. Ashok Jha, Senior Program Officer, Vitamin Angle.
3. CLAP Project-
In order to address the issues related on online education, HP in collaboration with JBF started the CLAP (Continued Learning Access Project). Under this initiative, laptop and Wi-Fi facility is provided to registered students. Currently JBF has 2100 beneficiaries registered under this project and it has covered 35 schools. 30 beneficiaries have completed their 20 hours training on basic and advance computer skills, finance management and vocational skills.
4. Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Medical Centre-
To provide affordable health care to citizens, JBF has started the community health care service which includes the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Medical Centre (JBFMC) and a Mobile Health Camp. This helped the JBF team to empower the community hence strengthening the health care facility in the area. For the month of April, 782
Out going patients were registered at JBFMC and 998 patients were registred through the Mobile Dispensary.
5. Blood Donation Camp at Jubilant Bhartia Foundation Medical Centre
A blood donation camp was organized at the JBF Medical Centre in collaboration with WHIMS hospital. A total of 21 people donated blood at the camp.
6. Goatry and Poultry Projects-
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in partnership with The Goat Trust started two projects on livestock – Goatry and Poultry. Under these projects 500 and 100 farmers have been registered respectively. 10 Pashu Sakhis have been trained who help the farmers by creating awareness on health. Under the Pashu Sakhi initiative (Goatry) five artificial inseminations have been done and 27 first aid and 25 deworming cases have been undertaken. Under the Pashu Sakhi (Poultry) project, two training sessions were conducted in Sihali Jagir and Chaubara areas. A brooding unit has also been set up at Sihali Jagir. These brooding units have 600 chicks which will be distributed to selected farmers.

BHARUCH
Jubicare Medical Centre
In order to provide affordable, accessible and equitable public healthcare, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation started a community healthcare program called ‘Jubicare’. Since its inception, this telemedicine service has helped empower communities in staying healthy and strengthening basic health care facilities around the SEZ area. Through the JBF Medical Centre and by using information and communication technologies for exchange of valid information for diagnosis and treatment, over 563 people availed our healthcare services this month. Apart from this, all the OPD patients were given advice and awareness on inculcating healthy habits into their lives. The Jubicare Medical centre was operational for 20 days and the telemedicine services was operational for 26 days this month.
Health Camp for Pregnant Women
On the occasion of International Mother’s day, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation organised a health and nutrition camp for pregnant women of Saladara and Argama villages. 40 Women were given nutritional kits and health advise by visiting doctor – Dr. Shailesh Nakum. Saladara and Argama are nearby villages at the Company’s plant at Bharuch. Since COVID-19, these women were not getting any nutritional support from the government and that is where JBF extended its support to meet this gap. The team also felicitated the Anganwadi Workers for proactively participating and monitoring the health of pregnant women and children with malnutrition.
Bharuch District Management Association (BDMA)- CSR Conclave
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in association with the Bharuch District Management Association (BDMA) orgnanized the first of its kind CSR conclave in Bharuch district. To bring an integration in the efforts of CSRs in making a social change, the main objective of the conclave was ‘Effective Transformation through Corporate Social Responsibilities’.
District Collector Tushar Sumera, Sunil Parekh, Rajesh Shah, Nagarpalika President Amit Chavda, BDMA President Harish Joshi, Nirmal Singh Yadav, Chairman of JBF’s CSR Program K. Srivastava were present at the occassion.
While Dr. Preeti Adani of Adani Foundation, I.A.S. Mr. M. Thenerson, Dushyant Patel, MLA and Deputy chief weep of the Legislative Assembly, Arun Singh Rana, MLA of Wagra, addressed the audience on the development and social upliftment of Bharuch through virtual medium.
In the last and third session, District Collector Tushar Sumera, District Development Officer Yogesh Chaudhary, President of Bharuch Citizens Council Kamlesh Udani and Corporate Advisor Sunil Parekh spoke on the Focus on Liveable Bharuch.
The District Collector will soon launch the ‘My Liveable Bharuch’ program under which efforts will be made to make the city of Bharuch more beautiful and clean.
Skill Upgradation Centre- New Batches
With the intention to increase employability in the community, several training courses were initiated at the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation’s Skill Upgradation Center in Vilayat and Bharuch. The initiative intends to give skill training in skill sets like tailoring, beautician competencies, basic IT skills, soft skills and supply chain and logistics management for sustainable livelihood generation. Over 65 trainees have begun their respective courses.
The students that passed out in the last month are receiving work orders from various customers and are earning up to 1000 per hour.

SAVLI
Skill Upgradation Drive- Organic Farming
At Savli, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation’s Livelihood program focuses on agricultural based livelihoods and women empowerment. Under this program, a project on organic farming was initiated by JBF at Bhimnath Mahadev Mandir, Savli. This day-long training session was organised for 200 farmers of Savli that are the beneficiaries of Jubifarm project initiated by JBF. The trainees learnt about methods of natural farming at low cost.
Reconstruction and Expansion of Washroom at Pasva School
Pasva is a school situated in Savli, Gujarat. The washroom at this school was not in the usable condition and was ultimately leading to girl student dropouts. Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) reconstructed and expanded this washroom to be now used by both, boys and girls.
